      1. Make a gradient the size of the duck and place it behind the duck.
      2. Create a clipping path around the duck.
    3. Place red-apple.jpg.
      1. Invert the clipping path.
      2. Adjust the path using the direct select tool.

    2. Combine them using Compound Paths and place Fiona.pct inside them.
    3. Make a text frame from your name.
    4. Place an image inside it.

    1. Create a new document and add several images. Save the file.
      1. Go out to the finder and change several image names.
      2. Notice That InDesign indicates the linking problem.
      3. Relink the files under their new name.
    2. Open SF_brochure.
      1. Embed and Unembed several images.
      2. Don't save your changes.
      3. Updating Photoshop Images inside InDesign

  21. Exercise Eight
    1. Open a new document.
    2. Place desert-scene.psd
    3. Choose 'Edit Original' from the links palette menu.
    4. Make changes in Photoshop.
    5. Save the file in Photoshop.
    6. Switch back to InDesign. The change is made.
    7. Switch to Photoshop. Step Backward to undo. Save again.
    8. Switch back to InDesign.
    9. Update link to see the change.
